Andreas has had a long career most of it played domestically. He started for Landskrona making his debut in the 1992 season and his consistent performances at centre half earned him a move to Helsingborgs in 1995.
He has made few appearances for the national team as he plays in the centre-half position that has been dominated by Patrik Andersson but did make his debut in February 1996 against Australia.
He moved to Hansa Rostock in Germany after five seasons at Helsingborgs for a £1million fee prior to the 2001-02 season where he became a stalwart of the team.
A neat passer and a threat in the air from set pieces.
